So why the barn doors?!

No, really. Barn doors of all things?

They're definitely a choice! Our business originally started in a barn with doors highly similar to the stock photo on the homepage. We sold out of it, and basically lived in it for awhile. The barn is sentimental and fairly core to some of our favourite experiences. Amazing what one can find in a good barn!

One of our best finds was actually in a barn really similar to the below imaged barn in very similar weather. We had heard of an estate sale happening in a barn in the wilds of central Saskatchewan that was reported to have some pretty choice items.

The couple running it were just looking to get rid of things before they left for Vancouver for work. Entire farm was being sold off, and they couldn't really be bothered with it. We made abundantly fair offers on everything, but still felt like we made out like bandits. 

This was in 2011, and we've found many things to rival it since, but it was our first big haul! Since, we've come to associate barns with solid finds. From the classic car in perfect condition, to boxes upon boxes of unopened Magic the Gathering cards and various sports cards, to even more exciting things.

Barns are the best! They're also advantageous for not being yet another storage locker. Variety being the spice of life and whatnot.

Looking to do a mini video series on YouTube from the perspective of a Canadian family that enjoys the journey as much as the destination when it comes to travelling for good finds, deals and friends!
